“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the messenger of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17
Here at Lanesville Congregational Church, we are committed to the growth and transformation that comes when the Bible is taught and studied by both individuals, and by the community as a whole. Apart from the teaching that occurs during our Sunday Morning Worship, we offer many avenues through which this can occur. We hope that you would join us at one of the Bible Studies offered below!
Led by Pastor Floyd Grace, this study mines the depths of God’s Word, pulling out great application for life by understanding the rich background of the original intent of the Biblical author. You will not leave this study disappointed! All are welcome!
As part of our Family Night, women are encouraged to join this study led by Deborah Schwendiman. It meets at the home of the Aberle’s, and ends at 8:20 to allow mothers to return to the church to pick up their children from their classes. This year they will be going through the book Counterfeit Gods by Tim Keller. Please consider joining them in this very enriching study! For more info on Family Night, click here.
Also part of our Family Night, this Bible Study seeks to bring out rich truths for our lives as they study different books of the Bible and Biblical themes. Beginning in January, Pam Lazarakis will be leading us in a study of “Our Work in the Image of God’s Work.” This study will be using the Theology of Work Project and Your Work Study Series, while looking at what Genesis 1-11 has to say on this topic. This group exists to encourage, support, and serve the community together and is open to all who are post high school. We currently are not meeting weekly, but are still in communication about ways we can encourage and serve with one another. If interested please contact us for more information!
